As it starts to feel more like Spring, it's a great time to get out to make art and see art. Here are a few ideas:

interactive acrylics INTERACTIVE ACRYLICS "PAINTING PARTY"
    Saturday, March 3, 1:00-4:00pm

You're invited to a "Painting Party" at Muse!

Atelier Interactive Acrylics have been a real hit and they're still winning new fans. Like traditional acrylics, Interactives dry quickly to the touch, but there's a BIG difference: When you paint with Interactives, you can rewet them for up to a week for continued reworking and blending. Interactives also stay fresh in a covered palette for weeks, so your paint and specially mixed colors won't dry up and go to waste.

Jennifer VonStein from Chroma Paints will join us on Saturday, March 3 to show how much fun you can have with the unique properties of these paints and mediums. It's called a "Painting Party" because everyone who comes will have plenty of time to experiment and play with the paints themselves.

This event if free, but space is limited, so please call 503-231-8704 to RSVP by Thursday, March 1.

    Reception: Friday, February 23, 6-9pm

From February 6 through March 16, Muse Art and Design will show oil paintings by Southeast Portland artist Shelly Buchanan. Shelly's work is based on natural settings in Oregon and Northern California, capturing the energy, emotion, and drama of each setting rather than depicting landscapes in a literal manner.

The public is invited to a reception on Friday, February 23, 2007, from 6:00 - 9:00 pm.
